Dollywood Chocolate Chip Orange Coke Cake



CHOCOLATE CHIP ORANGE COKE CAKE
Dollywood Restaurant Copycat Recipe

Cake:
2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
3 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 dash salt
1 cup Coke
2 ounces orange zest

Icing:
4 cups sugar
6 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 dash salt
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 cup chocolate chips
orange slice (to garnish)

Combine the flour and sugar in mixing bowl. Heat 1 cup vegetable oil, 3 tablespoon cocoa, 1 cup coke to boiling and pour over flour and sugar. Mix thoroughly. Add the baking powder, baking soda, salt chocolate chips and orange zest and mix well.

Bake in a greased and floured round pan for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
While still hot frost with icing.

Combine the oil, cocoa, and 1 cup cola and heat to a boil pour over sugar and mix well.
Spread over hot cake. Decorate cake with orange slices. Makes 1 cake.
